Sky Order Tracking

One thing that many customers frequently ask about is the status of their order.  We’ve all been in the situation where we have ordered something, then not heard anything for a while and we start to wonder if things really are moving.  While Sky does try to keep customers informed at regular intervals, they also recognise that sometimes customers just want a quick update when they have a couple of minutes spare.  In response to this need, Sky provide an order tracking service that keeps people up to date with progress and lets them know exactly when they can expect to be up and running.

Whenever you place an order with Sky, that order will be given a unique reference number and will start the fulfilment process.  As soon as the order is placed and a number allocated, order tracking with Sky is activated.  There are two ways for customers to access this system themselves, but if they prefer it customers can also call Sky Customer Services who will be able to see the progress and provide an update that way.

Within the Sky website, there is a dedicated order tracking section which can be used for both brand new customers and existing customers who are purchasing an upgrade or changing their subscription details, for example swapping entertainment packs.


To use the tracking on the Sky website, you simply have to sign into ‘My Sky’ with the Sky ID that was provided to you when you signed up.  If you then go to Billing Centre, and click the ‘Track Your Order’ link, you will be given details of any orders you have placed.  If you are waiting for an installation, then this page will also display the estimated installation date.  There will also be product specific information if it is appropriate for your order.


As an alternative, if you already have a Sky box and have placed an order you can track progress through the box itself.  You will need the viewing card PIN for this method, so make sure you know it before you begin.  To start the process, all you need to is press ‘interactive’ on the Sky remote, then highlight ‘sky Active’ and press ‘Select’ to confirm the choice.  This will bring up a new menu, and you should highlight ‘My Sky Account’ before pressing ‘Select’ again to confirm.   This time, highlight ‘Track my Order’ and press ‘Select’.  Follow the instructions that appear on the screen, and you’ll be able to find out the status of any orders that you have made.


There you have it.  Sky tracking is an easy to use system, and gives you a couple of different ways of ways of accessing it depending on your preferences.
