Buy Sky Box
This is a commonly asked question and fortunately it is also easy to answer. Sky has made it as easy as possible to buy their products through different channels and various partners, and the process itself is outlined here.
Sky can be purchased over the internet or over the phone, depending on what you prefer. Either way, the process has been made as simple as possible so that customers can choose a deal that suits them and their interests. Generally speaking, the better deals are given to those who can buy over the internet, and if you are able to do this you may find that you are offered things like a free installation, high street shopping vouchers, or free broadband and phone calls.
The first thing you need to do is to decide what you want to watch. There are two standard packs available – The Entertainment Pack and The Entertainment Extra Pack. The former gives access to over 40 channels, while the latter gives access to over 90 channels. If you are into films then you might want to add the Movie Pack, as this allows access to 12 dedicated channels. Sports fans can also add the 5 Sky Sports channels to their pack too, so all the latest sporting events can be enjoyed.
Once you have decided which packages you want to be able to view, you will be asked to choose the type of kit you want. You can choose from three boxes - the Sky+ Box, Sky+HD Box, and Sky+ HD 1TB Box. There is also the choice to get a Multiroom Box for access to the service from any room in the house.
You will also be given the option to take the broadband internet and telephone services that are available. These are often also bundled as additional options for people taking out Sky TV subscriptions, so keep an eye out for those promotions. Sky also offer line rental which may turn out to be cheaper than your current provider.
All that is left to do now is arrange a date for the installation. You’ll be given a list of available dates to choose from, and an engineer will then be booked to make a home visit. They will install the satellite dish required to pick up the digital signals, connect your kit for you, and show you how it all works.
